The Ruby presents ‘The Wife’ (R) Oct. 26-30 at 7PM Fri, Sat, Mon, Tues and 3PM Sat and Sunday. After nearly forty years of marriage, JOAN and JOE CASTLEMAN (Glenn Close and Jonathan Pryce) are complements. Where Joe is casual, Joan is elegant. Where Joe is vain, Joan is self-effacing. Joe is about to be awarded the Nobel Prize for his acclaimed and prolific body of work. Joe’s literary star has blazed since he and Joan first met in the late 1950. THE WIFE interweaves the story of the couple’s youthful passion and ambition with a portrait of a marriage, thirty-plus years later—a lifetime’s shared compromises, secrets, betrayals, and mutual love.
Coming next- ‘A Star is Born’ followed by ‘First Man’.
Nov 1, 2018 at 7 PM. Riverwalk Books presents Paul Souders, award winning Nature and Wildlife Photographer, with his new book “Arctic Solitaire: A Boat, A Bay, And The Quest For The Perfect Bear”. Join us for an author presentation and book signing, meet Paul, and view his stunning photography on the Ruby Theatre screen! Paul considered himself a lucky guy. He traveled the world and got paid to take pictures. Recently married, he was leading a generally contented life as an urban homebody, ending most days with a cold martini and a home-cooked meal. So how did he find himself alone aboard a tiny boat, enduring bad weather and worse cooking, while struggling to find his way across more than a thousand miles of Hudson Bay? It was all for a picture. He dreamed of photographing the Arctic’s most iconic animal, the polar bear, in its natural habitat. Free Admission.
See you at the Ruby!
