The Next Silent Saturdays will be on Saturday, Sept 26th @4:00 PM

Silent Saturdays take you back 100 years into the early days of film. You will experience 100 year-old "photoplays,"

in our 100 year-old movie theatre, with the Ruby's 106 year-old Wurlitzer photoplayer.

Saturday's program will open with the 1935 cartoon, "Betty Boop with Pop Eye the Sailorman."

The cartoon will be followed by the 1903 Edison film, "The Great Train Robbery," "Neighbors," with Buster Keaton,

and Charlie Chaplin in "The Fireman."

Experience Chelan's Historic Ruby Theatre with its original horseshoe balcony, tin ceiling, and cast plaster proscenium arch which are essentially the same as when the "Photo Play House" was constructed in 1914. The Ruby Theatre is the oldest continiously running movie theatre, built as a movie theatre, in the Northwest and one of the best examples of early American movie theatres in the country.

The theatre is historic, but the sharp digital projection, comfortable seats, and ductless HVAC provide a quality movie experience.
