The Ruby presents “Where the Crawdads Sing” ( PG-13) August 12 to 16 at 7 PM Friday through Wednesday and 3 PM Saturday and Sunday. Abandoned by her family, Kya raises herself all alone in the marshes outside of her small town. When her former boyfriend is found dead, Kya is instantly branded by the local townspeople and law enforcement as the prime suspect for his murder. Based on the national bestseller.

Thursday August 18 at 2 PM – Look for “The Iron Giant” (PG) a free family fun matinee on Third Thursday sponsored by the Historic Downtown Chelan Association. In the small town of Rockwell, Maine in October 1957, a giant metal machine befriends a nine-year-old boy and ultimately finds its humanity by unselfishly saving people from their own fears and prejudices.
