The Marvels

Disney’s “The Marvels” (PG-13) Nov 24-28 at 7 pm Fri, Sat, Mon and Tues and 3 pm Sunday only. Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe.

Dec 2:   “Elf” (PG) by North Cascades Bank. Buddy has some big adventures, coming from the North Pole to find his father.

Dec 9:  “Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch” (2018 animated) (PG) by Culinary Apple. Will Whoville get to celebrate Christmas? Animated classic with the voice of Benedict Cumberbatch.

Dec 16: “Miracle on 34th Street” (1955) (PG) by Bear Foods. Virginia wants to know- is Santa Claus real?

Dec 23: “The Polar Express” (G) by Riverwalk Books. An adventure on the magical train journey to the North Pole. Animated classic with the voice of Tom Hanks as the conductor.

Ruby News:  Meet Greg Asimakoupoulos, author and Wenatchee World columnist, at the Ruby on Saturday November 25 from noon to 2:00 p.m.   Greg will be signing copies of his book for sale “Finding God in It’s a Wonderful Life” prior to the screening of Frank Capra’s timeless Christmas classic film– “It’s a Wonderful Life” at 3 p.m.
