As this wild year comes to an end, we must not lose our joy and spirit during this Holiday season. The Holidays are a time to be close to family, be merry and hopeful for the next year to come. No matter what your circumstance this year, we hope you can celebrate at least one of your cherished traditions.

A perfect tradition we hold dear and can all do this year is watching adventurous movies. Getting lost in the Hollywood magic and going on a wild ride in our imaginations. We were inspired to look up Rotten Tomatoes 60 Best Adventure Movies of all time!

WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE (2009)

Feeling misunderstood at home and at school, mischievous Max (Max Records) escapes to the land of the Wild Things, majestic — and sometimes fierce — creatures. They allow Max to become their leader, and he promises to create a kingdom where everyone will be happy. However, Max soon finds that being king is not easy and that, even being with the Wild Things, there is something missing.

BIG FISH (2003)

When Edward Bloom (Albert Finney) becomes ill, his son, William (Billy Crudup), travels to be with him. William has a strained relationship with Edward because his father has always told exaggerated stories about his life, and William thinks he’s never really told the truth. Even on his deathbed, Edward recounts fantastical anecdotes. When William, who is a journalist, starts to investigate his father’s tales, he begins to understand the man and his penchant for storytelling.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL (2003)

Capt. Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) arrives at Port Royal in the Caribbean without a ship or crew. His timing is inopportune, however, because later that evening the town is besieged by a pirate ship. The pirates kidnap the governor’s daughter, Elizabeth (Keira Knightley), who’s in possession of a valuable coin that is linked to a curse that has transformed the pirates into the undead. A gallant blacksmith (Orlando Bloom) in love with Elizabeth allies with Sparrow in pursuit of the pirates.

INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM (1984)

The second of the Lucas/Spielberg Indiana Jones epics is set a year or so before the events in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Indy needs to retrieve a precious gem and several kidnapped young boys on behalf of a remote East Indian village. This time he teams up with a night club singer and a 12-year old boy.
