Family. Many of us have known all along and many just confirmed this past year the importance of family in our lives. We learn to love, argue with, challenge, take care of, lean on and eventually mourn family members. And if we are lucky we also find “family” in unexpected places to journey through life together. This week we share stories about some of those unexpected discoveries….and the power of family.
As Good As it Gets- (1997 PG-13) – A single mother and waitress, a misanthropic author, and a gay artist form an unlikely friendship after the artist is assaulted in a robbery.
Places in the Heart – ( PG 1984 ) – In central Texas in the 1930s, a widow, with two small children, tries to run her small 40-acre farm with the help of two disparate people.
The Avengers: Endgame (PG-13 2019)- After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers assemble once more in order to reverse Thanos’ actions and restore balance to the universe.
Avatar (PG-13 2009) – A paraplegic Marine dispatched to the moon Pandora on a unique mission becomes torn between following his orders and protecting the world he feels is his home.
