Escaping post-war Europe, visionary architect László Tóth arrives in America to rebuild his life, his work, and his marriage to his wife Erzsébet after being forced apart during wartime by shifting borders and regimes. On his own in a strange new country, László settles in Pennsylvania, where the wealthy and prominent industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren recognizes his talent for building. Ruby U: “Cougars in Washington”. Thursday February 20 at 7 pm. Free admission and suitable for all ages. Join Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife statewide bear and cougar specialist Rich Beausoleil as he shares 22 consecutive years of long-term research and stories of encounters with “Cougars in Washington”. His forty-five-minute presentation will be followed by an opportunity to share questions and comments. His commentary, slides and video content are designed to appeal to all ages. As an adjunct to his wildlife management duties, Rich also co-founded the Karelian Bear Dog (KBD) Program in Washington in 2003 and uses KBDs for a variety of research and purposes, including capturing cougars. Rich will be accompanied by his Karelian Bear Dog Milo. Free Admission (always).
