The Ruby presents: an inspirational story, “Ordinary Angels” (PG) March 22-26 at 7 pm Fri, Sat, Mon and Tues and 3 pm Sat and Sunday. This film is based on a true story where a hairdresser (played by Hilary Swank) single-handedly rallies an entire community to help a widowed father save the life of his critically ill young daughter.

Ruby U: The Ruby Theatre is proud to announce a new series of periodic public presentations, panels, and discussions of community interest in the Chelan Valley. The speaker series, “Ruby U”, is designed to inform, educate and challenge the understanding of ourselves, our community, and our valley now and into the future. All presentations are free to the public.
Thursday April 11, 2024 at 7 pm, Ruby U presents “Black Bears at Lake Chelan”. Rich Beausoleil, Bear and Cougar Specialist, Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife will discuss black bear ecology learned from a ten-year research project in the North Cascades that finished in 2023; provide an update on orphaned bear cubs from the Twenty-Five Mile fire; give an update on the chronic and increasing human-black bear conflict at Lake Chelan; discuss how WDFW has used Karelian Bear Dogs at Lake Chelan; and give tips on what Lake Chelan residents can do to co-exist with bears and become a BearWise community. Join us for this exciting free presentation!
