Ruby U: Fish War

Ruby U presents “Fish War”, a short film and discussion led by Mary Big Bull Lewis, representing the Indigenous Roots and Reparations Foundation of Wenatchee. Join us on Thursday March 20, 2025 at 7-8:30 PM. The Indigenous Roots and Reparation Foundation (IRRF) is an Indigenous-led nonprofit established in 2021 to preserve history, culture, traditions and language through education and advocacy. They are working to create a community where Indigenous cultures thrive and are honored.

In 1974, a conservative federal judge upheld Indigenous fishing rights in Washington, ending violent clashes with law enforcement and laying the foundation for environmental stewardship in this locally produced activism documentary.

Ruby U presentations are designed to inform, educate, and challenge the understanding of ourselves, our community, and our valley now and into the future.

Free Admission. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
