Fire has always been a part of our ecosystems in the Western U.S., but the steady increase in size and destructive power of wildfires over the last several decades has been unprecedented. The good news is that we can all play a role in building community resilience to wildfire. When we manage our forests for resiliency and prepare our communities, we can live better with fire. Please join us for a short film, “Era of Megafires,” followed by a panel of natural resource and air quality experts discussing regional, state, and local efforts to build community resilience to wildfires and what you can do to help.
Presenters include: WA Dept of Natural Resources Forest Resilience Division, Cascadia Conservation District and The Nature Conservancy in Washington.
